Wonky Out

June 7th, 2007 posted to Paris Hilton

Well, well, well. It seems that after only 3 days of her original 45 day sentence, Paris Hilton is no longer in jail. Released very early this morning due to “medical reasons”, Paris is now on house arrest for 40 days. Hmm. She’s wearing one of those ankle things like Michelle Rodriquez and Michelle was still going to premieres and partying. Bet we’ll see Paris doing the same thing. How typical. Oh, Paris, break the law and weasel your way out of the consequences just like a real spoiled brat does.

You know if I got a DUI, drove on a suspended license a couple of times, and then had to go to jail, I’d hire an attorney to fight it. Honestly. If they let Paris go on house arrest after just 3 days in jail, then why not us regular people? I’m sure you could find an attorney who’d be willing to take on the challenge. If she gets this bullshit special treatment, why shouldn’t we? Exactly.

I hope she goes back to jail for good.

This makes me SO mad. I knew she would get out early but come on, this is outrageous. Not one of us would get any kind of treatment like that!! I hate the rich and famous get away with everything, they only get a slap on the wrist and sent home!!

I am really disgusted with the Criminal Justice system today! I cannot believe that Paris Hilton was released this morning. I have read various stories on TMZ.com and they each have a different reason as to why Paris was released. However, none of them are legitimate in my opinion. I used to be a Correctional Officer in Florida and I have seen Inmates with various health problems (including terminal illnesses), Psychiatric problems, hunger strikes are not uncommon, but none of them were released and given the option of being on House Arrest instead. I have never known of an Inmate being allowed to be seen by their own personal Physicians as Paris has. Of course if the Doctors are on her payroll they are going to say whatever she wants! Any other Inmate would be treated by the Medical and Psychiatric staff provided by the jail. If Paris is supposedly so ill that she cannot serve her sentence then why is she at home instead of in a Hospital or Psychiatric Facility? How is this fair to the other Inmates who have legitimate illnesses instead of making excuses only to get out of jail? I thought that everyone is supposed to recieve equal justice under the law? Paris is obviously above the law because of her money and fame. This is really sad and discouraging.

It would be pretty funny and I would laugh my butt off if they put her back in jail. Maybe if enough people email, complain, and sign the online petition something will be done.
    Justice must be served!
