Owen Wilson is Depressed
August 28th, 2007 posted to Owen Wilson
According to The New York Post, Owen Wilson tried to kill himself with sleeping pills and by slitting his wrists after he got into a very heated argument with a close friend. He was found covered in blood, in a bad state by one of his brothers. Sources say that Owen has been suffering from depression for many years, off and on.
This is the kind of story that pretty much shocks you. You wouldn’t expect this to be true because Owen always plays such a funny and happy guy in the movies. That’s why I didn’t think it was true. But knowing now that he’s been battling depression… anything is possible. Anyone can get depressed. I guess it just goes to show you that having money and being famous isn’t the best life ever, you can still be depressed.
I think everyone hopes Owen gets better, both physically and mentally.
I wonder what Kate Hudson thinks of this? She’s way too into Dax Sheppard to care, I’m sure. I wonder if this was really a suicide attempt? I mean, not saying I think it’s anything else but the chances of it being an accidental drug overdose are probably pretty good. It seems like everyone does drugs, and adding depression and a fight to the mix really boosts the likelihood of drugs being involved. What do you think?
UPDATE: Here is a police log that Extra got a hold of. This is “proving” that Owen Wilson, indeed, tried to commit suicide. Think its real? Click below to check it out.

Sure I would cause the ones who always play funny are the ones with the biggest problems - nothing new in the world of psychic problems.

PS: Sounds like a personality disorder to me.

Pathetic. Not Owen Wilson, but people who have to make a big deal of this. Don’t people have anything better to do with their time?
Unless he’s impacting someone’s life in a significant way, it’s nobody else’s business. Celebrities are human beings who deserve the same privacy we’d want in his situation.

Man I really feel for the guy. I went through a period of depression due to a health condition, that’s since been resolved, but it was the darkest and scariest experience of my life. When your brain’s chemicals go awol on you, you literally have no control whatsoever over your feelings and emotions. You just feel like shit all the time and want to die. I’m glad he didn’t succeed in ending his life. I hope he finds the inner peace he so badly needs and continues to grace us with his talent. Love him.
