Shocker. Nicole Richie, who was supposed to be in court this morning at 7am to face her DUI charges, has gotten her trial post-poned another time. The trial had already been post-poned three times! Nicole, who is currently in Calgary with her boyfriend (and supposed baby-daddy) Joel Madden, cannot appear in court until August 16th because her “expert witness” cannot testify until then.

Expert witness? Why don’t we call it what it is? She probably paid some guy (who’s got enough credibility to testify as an expert) to tell the judge that Nicole wasn’t messed up so that she can weasel her way out of jail time.

The expert witness, Dr. McGee, is appearing in court on Nicole’s behalf to challenge the results of her drug test on the night of her DUI. Don’t forget, whatever this guy says, Nicole was driving THE WRONG WAY on the freeway. Sober, my ass.

If found guilty, Nicole could spend 5 days in jail. Why can’t they just put her in jail for a month? I wouldn’t complain if she disappeared from the tabloids for a while. Her eating disorder lifestyle gets old.
