Michael Vick Sentenced to 23 Months in Jail
NFL football player Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison for killing pitbulls that did not fight aggressively in his dogfighting ring. The maximum he could have spent in jail was 5 years. I think they should have jailed him for as long as they could. Killing animals?! What’s next? Killing people?! Exactly. Lock him up and let him learn his lesson! Apparently the judge wasn’t buying much of what Vick has to say. CNN reports:
“You need to apologize also to the millions of young people who look up to you,” U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson retorted.
“I am willing to deal with the consequences and accept responsibility for my actions,” Vick continued, as about a dozen of his friends and family members looked on.
But Judge Hudson appeared to be unmoved. “I’m convinced it was not a momentary lack of judgment on your part. You were a full partner,” he told Vick.
Michael Vick isn’t sad for the dogs he murdered and the mean stuff he did to them. Michael Vick is sad that he had to sell his homes in Atlanta and Virginia. He is sad his football career is over and that he’s in financial ruin. Michael Vick is sad for Michael Vick, not for those dogs.
I hope he learns his lesson in jail, that’s for sure!
