So Lucy Liu is on this new show called Cashmere Mafia. It’s on ABC on Wednesdays but, due to the writer’s strike, the show is also on hold for a while. But the show is about, according to IMDB.com, this: “A group of successful female executives who have been friends since college turn to each other for guidance as they juggle their careers with family in New York City.” So basically it’s like a newer version of Sex and the City that you can watch on cable television. Well, because I’m the only one in the world who doesn’t have “a show” to watch religiously every week, I thought I’d try to find one. Seriously, I’d really like to find a show that just swallows my life for an hour a week. While I realized nothing can compare to The Sopranos, Nip/Tuck or Sex and the City, my two previous shows, I thought I’d still try. So I watched Cashmere Mafia and I thought it was weak. The girls didn’t seem to have any on-screen chemistry. At least with Sex and the City, you felt like they were all really friends… even though Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall hated each other, you never suspected it! Also, the plot in Cashmere Mafia was a bit weak and could’ve used more detail. It’s got a lot of fancy, name-brand clothes and skinny girls in heels.. other than that, the show hasn’t got much going for it. I predict a cancellation within the next two seasons. But, Lucy Liu is really pushing for it to be a success. Here she is outside the Letterman show last night. She’s skinny but I bet she’s a bitch!
