Lindsay Lohan to Serve 1 Day in Jail
Lindsay Lohan was charged with seven misdemeanors while in court yesterday and somehow managed, by pleading no contest to her two DUI charges, to get only one day in the clink. By law, the minimum would be four days but the judge is allowing her to serve just one day in prison with the added 10 days of community service in place of two days in prison. Lohan also got a one day credit for her time in court, making her total time in jail just one day. Lindsay has released this statement to the press:
“It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs.
Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case. No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone else for my conduct other than myself. I thank God I did not injure others. I easily could have.
I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so.â€
Maybe shes being honest this time? I sort of hope she gets clean and sober and stops all contact with her toxic ass parents. Aren’t they just the worst? Dina is totally in it for herself and Michael just needs quick cash! They are both jerks. Lets hope Ali Lohan and the other brother turn out better than Lindsay did. She’s a media whore. She won’t change. I’m so sick of this bitch I can barely look at her face without gagging. I wish she, along with Hilton and Ritchie, would get barred from Hollywood. They all sicken me with their bullshit. No wonder I scroll past anything to do with them 99% of the time.

Paris Hilton gets a DUI then violates her parole and spends a few weeks in jail, but Lindsay gets 2 DUI’s and will harldy have to spend a day. That is ridiculous.
I hope that she is sincere but I seriously doubt it. She was probably told by her lawyer or publicist to say those things. It is depressing that the justice system condones celebrities behavior by coddling them. If anything I think that she should have had the book thrown at her because she does not have to drink and drive. She has the means to hire a driver, car service, or Limo if she wants to party. If she drank without planning on it she could have had a friend drive or flagged down a taxi! Justice is definately not equal under the law when it comes to celebrities! She was right when she said that nothing would happen to her because she is a celebrity. One day is nothing because she will probably serve 82 or less minutes just like Nicole! The Judge should know that he is teaching Lindsay nothing by coddling her! Paris should have had Lindsay’s lawyer! If they gave Lindsay probabtion she will probably just violate it anyway because she obviously has no respect for the law!
