Katie Holmes to Run Boston Marathon?
Although Katie’s rep has already denied these rumors, it really doesn’t mean that it still can’t be true! UsWeekly reports that Katie Holmes is going to run, as incognito as possible, the Boston Marathon. The New York Marathon that Katie ran in a few months ago serves as a qualifier for the upcoming Boston Marathon–runners must have completed the NYM in 3 hours and 40 minutes. Katie Holmes ran the whole race (26.2 miles) in 5 hours and 30 minutes. She came in 34, 193rd out of 39, 008 runners. A source close to race organizers said that “charity entrances are often given out” so this could be how Katie is getting into the race. Also, because everyone has a price, she could have bought her way in. And the fact that she didn’t qualify is only a plus because she’s hoping not to attract a lot of attention. Humm, I sort of hope she runs it. I’m interested in seeing how well she does!
R u kidding me?? She basically walked the NYC marathon and on top of that violated the “no headphones” rule. For a 28 year old, the qualifying time is 3 hours 40 minutes and she ran NYC in a little less than 5 hours 30 minutes. She does not deserve to run Boston with the others who have qualified for this race. Shame on her – go qualify and run when you can keep up with the others!
This is total BS if Katie gets to run Boston. I have friends who missed qualifying by minutes or seconds, and she just gets to waltz into Boston? for her age group, wasn’t she an hour and 50 minutes TOO SLOW?!?!?! If she’s going to run Boston, she better be running FOR a charity – take some her scientology money and donate it!

I cannot believe that the committee that runs the BM would even consider making such an exception. She is NOT running for a charity, she would NOT be running incognito and it would NOT AT ALL be fair to actual runners!! She would likely spew garbage about her husband’s next movie upon finishing just like she did in NY…It is awful that she is doing this to one of the oldest and truest forms of sport competition.
Hey Olympic Committee, Katie Holmes wants to compete in pairs figure skating — solo, you’ll make an exception, right??
