Katherine Heigl Has Made Enemies
Katherine Heigl removed her name for the Emmys because she felt like her character Izzie (from Grey’s Anatomy) wasn’t given enough material to win an Emmy. Heigl won the Emmy for Best Actress last year. People are started to get pissed off at Heigl’s completely diva-like attitude. Emma Rosenblum, a journalist, wrote an open letter to Heigl to express her hate:
Okay, Heigl, we agree that Izzie’s story lines have become increasingly marginal and unbelievable. Lately, everyone on the show seems to think that Izzie’s completely irritating. So do we! We actually groan aloud when your face appears onscreen! And guess what? You’re totally annoying and self-righteous, just like Izzie!
And then (and then!) you called your own hit movie, Knocked Up, “a little sexist.†But you did it, you made lots of money, and it made you a certified movie star. Do you think you’re above the work that you do? It was a comedy, and you profited tremendously. You’re no Streep, honey, and even she does Abba with a smile.
Grey’s Anatomy is a soap opera. Get off your high horse, missy. You talk all about the integrity of the Academy? Ha! You know they’re giving an Emmy to a reality-TV show host this year, right? Stop pissing off your writers and directors and castmates.
Burn! Heigl does think she’s hot shit, doesn’t she?
This is old news. I look to your website for new news… Step it up…
Ok: Here’s the deal with Katherine Heigl–and think about it–you will know I am right.
She is a strong woman with opinions.
That’s the main problem. George Clooney (among MANY male actors) has assessed some of his characterizations and performances as less than savory. Nobody attacked him(or the others)personally.
Some may see her description of “Knocked Up” as biting the hand that feeds her, but come on, did you see the film? It wasn’t exactly Sophie’s Choice–(to also use a Streep reference) and it really was sexist–even by standard definitions. It was “Porky’s” with a bigger budget.
And who in the hell is Emma Rosenblum to call Heigl “honey” and “missy?” I mean seriously. Ummmm, wake up call to this “journalist:” we don’t need your help to tear apart female actresses that have (gasp) opinions. That’s what the studios are for. Do something worthwhile, “journalist.” Aren’t there some wars going on or something?
Ohhh poey Johnny…
Katherine is being a whiney bitch like always … and thats that.
Stop attempting to sound as if she would give you the time of day. She wouldn’t.

MB,
I’m a female and I like the boys.
Before I post anything making claims, I do my research. Do yours. Start with Clint Eastwood, Burt Reynolds, George Clooney, and on the more TV side; Jay Leno, David Letterman. In music, Celine Dion etc, etc.
ALL of them at different points in their careers have exressed regret for different programs, films, or aspects of their work. Three of them removed themselves from award contention for various reasons–some personal, some professional. None were referred to as “whiny bitches.” None were held up to public ridicule or vitriolic scrutiny, such as Heigl faces. For Dion, I’m guessing she was spared because she was a child at the time. The rest, I’m sure because of their gender.
As for the time of day of celebrities…I’m a mid-Westerner. That concept is as foreign to me as Chinese. I care because I see it as a gender issue.
Hope this clears up my take. Peace and Love.
