Jonathan Rhys Meyers Reveals His Opinions
Stop me if you disagree, but is it not true that everyone has a part of their job that they just don’t really like? Even awesome jobs have at least one or two bad sides. For instance, a lot of actresses feel a little iffy about being naked in front of the camera. Apparently dear, sweet, Jon Meyers has some hard feelings against the actresses who get a little shy about being nude while filming.
Here’s what he had to say: “I can’t stand actresses who won’t take their clothes off. It drives me nuts. I want to cut their ears off. If it says in the script you’re naked, be naked, instead of moaning and saying, ‘I really don’t want to show my t**s, I don’t want to show my ar$e.â€
What a guy, huh? (Insert heavy eye rolling here.) I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion. God knows I have my own … and I’m pretty sure this statement was made before the recent loss of Jonathan’s mother. But come on! Don’t be a shmuck. It’s one thing to think that but to let the public know? If he’s not careful then even the chicks that like undressing in front of the camera are going to avoid doing scenes with him! Then again, probably not…but still! Pig.

Understatement of the year.
This quote was out of context. He was speaking specifically about actresses who take parts knowing that there’s nudity called for in the script, then get prissy about it after they’ve already committed to the part and try to get the script changed after filming starts. If you’ve got qualms about the requirements of a role, the time to make those objections isn’t when the director says “okay, we’re filming the love/shower/whatever scene after lunch.”
Yeah, I don’t think the death of his mother should change his mind about how he feels about his work. And it’s true, too many prudish bitches out there.
