Halle Berry to Play Aretha Franklin

First, let me just say that Aretha Franklin is such a huge piece of music history that she should definitely get a movie. A tv movie, on the other hand, seems a little crappy. I mean, think of the people that get major motion pictures?! Why wouldn’t they give Aretha Franklin a real movie? They are making movies like Catwoman and stuff.

Anyway, Aretha is in talks for a tv movie. She wants Halle Berry to play her. Now for the second part. Does Aretha Franklin know that she weighs what she weighs? I mean, when she was younger she was pretty thin but that didn’t last long. I think she should have someone “hearty” play her.

Jennifer Hudson probably wouldn’t do it because she’s an Oscar winner and probably thinks shes too good now, huh? But she’d be good for the role. Don’t you think?

    If they start filming now they could take full advantage of Halle Berry’s growing bump. Then they wouldn’t have to stick her into one of those fat suits to finish the story.

    my thoughts exactly mb. As much as I love seeing my baby Halle in new movies, I’d rather see someone better fit for the role. GlobalGrind.com was saying that Jennifer Hudson would be much better in this part, no doubt cuz she proved that she can act AND sing in Dream Girls. She’s got that diva in her.
