So, it looks like Drew Carey is the new host of The Price is Right.

Drew Carey? Whose Line Is It, Anyway? was a funny show, don’t get me wrong, but Drew Carey definitely had nothing to do with it. And that pretty much goes the same for The Drew Carey Show. It was funny, but without Mimi or Mr. Wick, that show would’ve been dead after one episode. But apparently the people who produce Price aren’t worried and think Drew Carey is the best choice as the new host.

On winning the role, Drew said,

“I realize what a big responsibility this is,” he said. “It’s only a game show, but it’s the longest-running game show in American TV and I plan to keep it that way.”

‘It’s only a game show’ isn’t the best thing he could’ve said. Honestly, saying that is just about the same thing as saying “I guess I’ll take this job. But whatever.” There’s just something about him that seems arrogant.

As much as I think it’s a weird ass choice, I sort of have to contradict myself because I agree with what he said.. I think he will keep the show up to par. People just like him cause he’s chubby, jovial, and wears thick glasses. I think they feel bad for him.
