As far as what we are teaching our children, I think the message needs to be, when you make the mistakes you pay the price--then we move on. I suppose some of the people in this forum are perfect and have never needed forgiveness for mistakes. I have yet to meet any one on Oahu who thinks that's an accurate statement,in fact it irritates and emabarrases true Hawaiians who consider the whole Chapman clan trailer trash who should have stayed in Denver, CO. He had a job before the TV show, and he'll have one if he never has another spot on A&E. It's too bad A&E caved to let this blatant racist back on the air. It sends our kids the message that they too can get away with anything, which is unfortunately becoming the case with parents like the Chapman's out there.
