Criss Angel is a Hypocrit
While I find some illusion entertaining, there is virtually nothing Criss Angel does that I find entertaining. Over-the-top, stupid illusions (what he likes to call “magic”) with horrible acting and paid “believers” that only make what he does that much worse. Seriously. He sucks and I think he is such a fame and attention whore that its sad and desperate. And for him to call someone else out on being fake?! What is that? That’s like a fat person calling out another fat person for over-eating. It just doesn’t make sense at all. On the NBC show Phenomenon, Criss called out psychic Jim Callahan. After the psychic guessed the contents of a mystery box, Criss challenged him to guess the contents of an envelope he had in his hand and said if he guessed it, Criss would give him a million dollars.
“Criss, I can see you’re itching to say something,†noted “Phenomenon†host and Access Hollywood’s Tim Vincent .
“I just think it’s comical quite frankly,†Angel said.
Angel then pulled an envelope from his pocket and appeared to challenge, not only Callahan’s abilities, but also those of his fellow judge Geller.
“I will give you a million dollars of my personal money right now if either one of you can tell me specific details of what’s in here right now,†Angel insisted.
The challenge clearly didn’t sit well with the contestant.
“Ok man, I’ll tell you what I will tell you. I find you an ideological bigot,†Callahan responded as he made his way towards Angel.
“Tell me what’s in the envelope,†Angel kept repeating.
Angel then got out of his seat to meet Callahan, as Geller and Vincent came between the two men and separated them.
I don’t know who Jim Callahan is but he should’ve punched the shit out of Criss Angel. Honestly, calling someone out where they’re doing their thing, even if it is lame, is not cool! Especially when your “thing” is equally as retarded and fake! Someone needs to take Criss Angel away for a long, long time..

Criss Angel pretends to use magic in his act, but he always claims off stage that it’s all a trick. Jim “The Douchebag” Callahan claims–all the time–that he is psychic, doesn’t do tricks and can really talk to the dead. So there’s nothing hypocritical about Angel calling him out.

I TiVo’d the show & after watching the confrontation over & over, have concluded without a doubt that the confrontation was CLEARLY CHOREOGRAPHED !!! The give-aways inlcuded the host’s opening line to Criss (“you’re itching to say something”) and the carefully executed “dance” between the host and the seemingly agitated Callahan (what a terrible actor). It’s a pity, I had been mildly entertained by the show up to the point they totally insulted my intelligence by inserting this performance that rivals even the most carefully executed PERFORMANCE of the WWE Pro-Wrestling. I never thought NBC would stoop so LOW !!! As with all Reality TV – it’s only as REAL as you are stupid enough to believe in it !!!!
It turns out to be that Criss Angel is a James Randi friend (no wonder the million dollar challenge), he is a showman and as stated by Brandon above: “but he always claims off stage that it’s all a trick”, I find it remarkable that he studeas a skeptic when the time of truth came, plus, how doesnt love a good fight on TV jaja
I used to think he was so hot, and I really liked him. Now I feel sick every time I see him. I’m not sure why.
The problem with Criss Angel is that he does claim to do real magic on TV where millions of people see him. Why does he claim trickery “off stage” and not on his show where he is attempting to create a cult mindset? More people see him claim real powers than see him deny them.
Um, Criss NEVER claimed to be doing REAL magic. It doesn’t exist. How dare you call him fake because he can’t do the impossible. You are fucking stupid for posting this blog. He is an illusionist. Leave him the heck alone. You don’t know him.
You are soo wrong… the illusions are very entertaining… at least to a bored 14 year old mind…. but still, they are quite intricate and amusing
