Rachael Ray Loves Dunkin’ Donuts

Rachael Ray, who gained popularity and her own network television show thanks to Oprah, has just signed a marketing-campaign deal with Dunkin’ Donuts for multi-millions.

(Millions would be okay but MULTI millions!?)

Apparently, Ray will be promotion brand awareness for Dunkin’ and you will see her in commercials trying to tell America that Dunkin’ Donuts are a healthful part of a balanced diet.

I’m not sure how donuts are part of a healthy diet, because they are basically sugar, carbs and more sugar. But Rachael Ray has been getting chubby and is really, really annoying so.. Maybe donuts are part of a healthy diet to that skeezer, but she’s not going to be able to sell me on it.

Rachael Ray and Tara Reid should pair up and start a vodka & donut shop. During the day you can eat donuts and drink and at night you can drink donut flavored vodka or something.

I’m still working the kinks out of that idea, but you get the picture, right?

If you wanna read the story about Rachael Ray plugging Dunkin’ Donuts, you can read it here.

This picture in this post is another great piece by the artist 14. You can see all of her other awesome work at her site.

14, the Genious behind “The Gallery of the Absurd”

gota paris

If you haven’t heard of it yet, let me be the one to tell you that you’re going to hear about it a lot in the future. What is it? It’s The Gallery of the Absurd, a fantastic blog run by a mysterious and gifted artist named simply 14. She does, as an artist, what no one has dared to do before. She tells it like it is–pathetic celebrity drama turned into satirical humor–through her art. And we freaking love it!

We first saw the work of 14 when she made a hilarious portrait of The Simple Life’s Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. The portrait, which showed the celebrities for what they are, pissed off Paris Hilton and her lawyers. Was it because Paris was shown with an economy size box of herpes medicine Valtrex next to her? Was it because her lazy eye was clearly more lazy than normal? Was it because there were some crabs near her, merely suggesting she might actually have crabs? Could it have been her legs spread wide open with “NSFW” over her privates? Whatever it was, it was hilarious and to this day it is one of our favorite mocks of Paris Hilton. The Gallery of the Absurd received an e-mail from Paris Hilton’s lawyer, who asked the artist to remove the crabs from the picture because of what they suggested. And she did. The portrait, however, is still golden, hilarious, and honest. And that’s why we love 14!

Our new favorite piece of art by 14 is called “Kirsten Dunst Has The Munchies.” This is in relation to a quote Kiki made about how everyone should smoke because it’s relaxing and it would made the world a better place. The portrait, as always, is hilarious! 14 has a way of nailing the details, making her work priceless. And we’re not the only people that feel this way!

Caryn James, of the New York Times, calls The Gallery of the Absurd “..the best of many sites that skewer celebrity culture.” She goes on to say that the artist, 14, “..is consistently funny..” and her art has “..the qualities that make celebrity satire work.”

We definitely agree! So if you haven’t checked out The Gallery of the Absurd yet, do so! You will definitely enjoy it! We know we do! And below is our favorite Kiki pic, courtesy of 14.
