Elton John had an Oscar party, like he always does. And after looking through the pictures from the turn out and watching the Oscars last night, it seems like the big name celebrities were sort of missing this year. Granted, they probably didn’t make any good movies but still. Where were Ben Affleck, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Aniston, Vince Vaughn, Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Hugh Jackman, Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt… I mean, where were all the celebrities that make you take notice? Yes, a few of my favorites (Kate Winslet, Colin Firth) were at the Oscars and yes a few of my favorites (but not super famous) celeb’s went to Elton’s (Michelle Rodriguez, Christina Hendricks) but it just seemed a bit blah this year. The Vanity Fair party had a little better turn out (Natalie Portman, Hilary Swank) but still a bit lack luster. Seems like Jimmy Kimmel gets more famous people in his sketches than the Oscars and after parties combined! Pics of celebrities partying after Oscar night below.

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband just welcomed home their twins, MarionLoretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge. The twins were born via surrogate mother. This is the couples second and third; they have a son James Wilke. I like Sarah Jessica Parker so all I am going to say is Congratulations to them. And good for her for not adopting in Africa and stealing someone else’s child just because they were poor. I think it’s great SJP recognized she may be too old to carry her own child and too classy to buy one from another country. Good for them!

Wow! Sarah Jessica Parker looked hot last night at the Sex and the City New York Premiere. I mean, she looked really, really good for her. The way her make up is done accentuates her beauty and makes her nose looks smaller, don’t you think? I think Kim Cattrall looks pretty old and Chris Noth‘s girlfriend/wife/whatever looks like a caveman… doesn’t she? She gets a pass because she just had a baby. Other than that, I’m not sure what her excuse is.

I would totally be going to see this movie on Friday if it weren’t for me having to move for the next two days. Let me take that back. I’d probably go see The Happening first. Mark Wahlberg is looking good in that movie. I also want to see The Strangers but I don’t know when that one is out. Either way, those beat out Sex and the City. But I DO want to see it. I hope Aiden makes a cameo!

 

The new Sex and the City movie is due out this May and the people who made the movie have created a bunch of lovely promo posters. You can see them all at Dlisted. I just picked the only group pic. It’s also my favorite because it looks the least edited out of all of the pictures. I mean, you can see that Kim Cattrall actually has a big ass in it. You know underneath the pounds of make up and editing, all four of ‘em are just a bunch of mom-looking forty/fifty-somethings with bad fashion sense. Anytime I see Sarah Jessica Parker on the street (pics that is) she looks homeless. What’s with that?

Are you going to see the movie?

When Maxim created their “5 Unsexiest Women Alive” list, consisting of 5. Britney Spears, 4. Madonna, 3. Sandra Oh, 2. Amy Winehouse and 1. Sarah Jessica Parker, I was really pissed off. Not only does the magazine say completely rude and below-the-belt things about these women, but the list is pretty absurd. Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse make sense–they both have drug problems and continually represent themselves in the worst way possible. But Madonna, Sandra Oh and Sarah Jessica Parker? I absolutely hate Madonna–don’t get me wrong I think she’s a nasty bitch–but those three are the worst choices ever. They are all three successful and beautiful women. I think I was extra pissy about it because I love Sarah Jessica Parker, and while she isn’t the conventional beauty, I still find her beautiful and sexy. She’s one of my favorite celebrities. And when she was asked what she thought about the title Maxim gave her, she was classy and witty and said:

“What they don’t know is that one day I’ll wake up fat. But I’ll still be happy, just like I am now. I believe in the old ‘sticks and stones’ philosophy, so frankly their words don’t come close to hurting. And it does not bother me in the least if people don’t think I’m sexy.

 

“I don’t think I am, either.”

Stay strong, Carrie! I cannot wait to see the Sex and the City movie. I hope its as great as the whole season was. Although, as much as I like Chris Noth in the series, I have to admit I’d be way more into the movie if John Corbett was reprising his role as Aidan, and if Carrie would come to her senses and marry him! Isn’t he the sexiest? Anyway, I’m glad stupid Maxim didn’t upset Sarah Jessica Parker, she’s better than that crap!
