It’s nice to see a celebrity who got married and is actually going to change their name! I think that when people get married that the woman should take the man’s name. If she wants hers too then add a hyphen in there but come on! I really didn’t expect her to take his name, either. I sort of can’t even believe they are actually married. I wonder if she’s pregnant?

Here’s what Ash said about changing her last name from Simpson to Wentz:

“I think that that’s something that a woman should do when they’re marrying a man,” she tells PEOPLE. “It’s a tradition that I think is a great tradition.”

Ashlee will go by Ashlee Wentz personally and professionally she will hyphen it up and go by Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. Hey, maybe if Jessica would have hyphened Lachey then it would’ve worked out? Who knows.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were married Saturday evening in an intimate ceremony, their spokesperson tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“We’re delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends,” said the spokesperson.

Simpson, 23, wore an ivory lace wedding gown by Monique Lhuillier and jewels by William Noble as she and Wentz, 28, exchanged vows in front of 150 guests at her parents’ Los Angeles area home.

Dad Joe Simpson performed the non-denominational ceremony, while sister Jessica served as maid of honor. Wentz’s English bulldog, Hemingway, was the ring-bearer. Guests included Jessica’s boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, as well as actor Donald Faison with girlfriend CaCee Cobb.

Simpson told PEOPLE on Friday that she was never the type to dream about her wedding when she was growing up, but changed her tune once she got engaged. “Now that I’m doing it, I definitely have that big dream. It kind of went more fairytale than I thought. I got really into it.” Added Wentz, “She has this amazing imagination and to watch it take place is an awesome thing.”

With the help of wedding planner Mindy Weiss, Simpson got her dream nuptials: The Alice in Wonderland themed reception featured a wedding cake by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings with a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top. The elaborate centerpieces of black beauty roses were by Mark’s Garden. Guests were served Rose Veuve Clicquot champagne followed by a sit-down dinner and dancing to a deejay.

Simpson, who sources say is pregnant with the couple’s first child, and Wentz, the bassist for Fall Out Boy, have been linked since the fall of 2006, when they were spotted kissing at a New York nightclub. They announced their engagement last month.

“He’s a cutie,” Simpson told PEOPLE last year. “He has an awesome personality and kind of brings out the best of me and I knew that even before we were dating. There was just like an awesome connection we had.”

After they’d been dating almost a year, Wentz told PEOPLE, “We’re past the honeymoon period. The truth is, it’s crazy to be able to kiss your best friend. It’s just a really awesome thing.”

This is the first marriage for both.

Rumor has it that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are getting married this Saturday. Nothing like an “unexpected” (you know Ashlee tricked Pete) pregnancy to make a wedding happen in Hollywood. The guests don’t know where the wedding is at yet, but they’ve received save the dates and they know they will be privately transported to the wedding site.

Umm, who the hell do these two think they are? Are they even big enough celebrities to pull this secret location shit? And does anyone care enough to tell the press? Hell, if I was invited I wouldn’t even go because the chances are pretty good that one of those two doofus’s is going to sing at the wedding. Yuck. Plus, Jessica Simpson will be there carrying around her mangy dog Daisy and wearing stupid hair extensions just generally being dumb. I wonder if they’ll invite Nick Lachey? Then I’d go. Just to see the drunk-wedding dram unfold.

OK! Magazine is claiming that Joe Simpson, Ashlee’s daddy and manager, is in talks with MTV for Ashlee and Pete to get their own reality show titled Newlyweds. The show, of course, will be filmed after Ashlee and Pete get married and will be a spin-off of her older sister Jessica‘s reality show that she made with her now ex-husband Nick Lachey.

Here’s the hilarious part about this article. Joe Simpson “knows that no one cared about Jessica before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect.”

Isn’t that the meanest thing your dad could say about you? “I know no one cares about you, that’s why we’ve gotta whore you out to MTV!” All families that produce famous children are messed up, doesn’t it seem like it? I mean, Britney Spears is a tragic mess and so is her family.

I think Ashlee Simpson should take into account how many happy couples get reality shows and then break up. Besides Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey there is Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker.. I mean, it ain’t looking so good to do a reality show with these statistics, right?

I guess it depends on one thing: how famous do these two really want to be and what are they knowingly willing to risk to get that fame?

Ever since they got back together, it seems like Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz can’t get enough media attention. I mean, they say they hate it and all that stuff, but they’re liars! They made that one video, sparking rumors that Ashlee was pregnant. Then they got engaged and then Ashlee never directly says no to being pregnant when asked at TRL. Enough already! I’m getting sick of these two quite fast. In fact, I never liked Pete Wentz so that was their first strike. Then that stupid video that was lame was their second strike. One more really annoying thing happening from them and I’m done. I’m seriously considering Ashlee’s gross ass ginger hair as strike three. What do you think?

Oh Pete Wentz, STFU please. We want Ashlee to be pregnant because we want to see how Papa Joe reacts! Plus, we know Jessica is regretting breaking up with Nick Lachey and she’s probably jealous as hell of Ashlee being engaged. Here’s what Pete Wentz e-mailed to MTV, in order to put the “Ashlee Simpson is Pregnant” rumors to bed.

“There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood,” he wrote. “This is all news to me. I can’t wait for the story about how I’m really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover. … I mean really, this is crazy. … I mean we’re engaged, that’s true, and happy about it.”

What did you read? I read “there is” and got bored. Then I started thinking of all the ways I could spread the rumor that Ashlee Simpson is pregnant. I heard she had MAD morning sickness at the restaurant the other day. I bet she’s like at least 3 months!!
