Nicole Richie, who is engaged to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden (the couple also has two children together), launched two of her new fashion lines in Paris, France this week. The names? Winter Kate and House of Harlow, both named after her daughter, whose name is Harlow Winter Kate Madden. Maybe Joel will launch a men’s fashion line and name it Sparrow James Midnight after their son? A lot of people give these two flack for those names but I like them; I think they’re different and fit Nicole’s hippie personality.

Nicole is looking good. Still has some baby weight around her tummy but I think it looks good. Being a rail isn’t sexy and this is someone who never got the memo about that. If she should change anything I would say to go easy on the brown eyeliner!

It’s about time that Nicole Richie marry Joel Madden. I mean, they have two kids together. I hate it when celebrities think they’re above marriage and make bullshit quotes to magazines about “not understanding” the institution and not liking “what it stands for” or better yet, not wanting to marry “if everyone can’t get married.” Oh Christ, get over yourselves! At least have the balls to say you don’t get married because you are both flaky, self-indulgent assholes who don’t truly know if you can stop passing your greatness around the celebrity daisy chain. I can respect the truth, even if I don’t like it!!

BUT… breaking away from this pattern, Nicole and Joel have decided to wed. The above picture is Nicole going to The Late Show with David Letterman. She looks pretty good… for her.

Gee, I guess everyone is shocked to hear this news, huh? Spies around Hollywood are claiming that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are already bad parents. The couple, who gave birth to their first child (name Harlow Winter Kate Madden), just over a month ago, can’t stop partying. I wonder if they were surprised to see how much work a baby is on the first night so after that they were like, “Damn let’s get a nanny and get outta here” because I could totally see that. Page Six reports:

During the Grammys weekend, the couple went to several parties each night for hours. Last weekend, Richie and Madden once again left their tot at home to spend some quality time with Joel’s brother Benji and Lindsay Lohan at Teddy’s in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. They didn’t rush home until the end of the evening – “It’s almost as if they aren’t parents,” said a spy.

That’s a burn on their daughter! Not only are they ditching her to party but they’re ditching her to party with skeezy Lindsay Lohan! Man, talk about a slap in the face. I forsee these two breaking up within the next couple of years. It’s only a matter of time. I’m determined–I want Hilary Duff to get the last laugh on these two!

Before Christina Aguilera gave birth, Nicole Richie did! I read about this over the weekend but since I like to take the weekends off, I didn’t write about it when it happened. Then when I started writing this morning, I completely forgot that she existed and just had a baby. Someone e-mailed me and was like “Why haven’t you written about Nicole and Joel’s new bundle of joy yet?!” And yes, “bundle of joy” is what she wrote. Cheesy, I know. Anyway, here’s the news about Nicole for those of you who really give a crap.

Nicole gave birth on Friday at Cedars Sinai to a baby girl named Harlow Winter Kate Madden. She weighed 6 lbs and 7 oz at birth. Their spokesperson said “The beautiful healthy baby girl left with her ecstatic parents.”

Good luck to them their nannies. It’s going to be a lot of work. I bet Nicole Richie will be back down to 80 lbs in a week. Girlfriend’s got something shady going on with that but I don’t care enough to investigate!

Last month Nicole Richie went to trial to determine her sentence for her DUI bust in December (which was her second DUI, FYI). She was sentenced to 4 days with a 1 day credit for court. Nicole went to Century Regional Detention Facility yesterday afternoon and checked in at 3:15 pm. She was released at 4:37 pm and apparently only spent 35 minutes in an actual jail cell. Splendid! I’m sure Paris Hilton is fuming right now. It’s obvious the world likes Nicole Richie better! The court issued this statement,

On August 23 2007, at 3:15 PM Miss Nicole Camille Richie reported to CRDF and surrendered herself following a July 27 arrest, she was sentenced to serve 96 hours in County Jail. Miss Richie was accompanied by her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley and her boyfriend Joel Madden. Miss Richie was booked and processed into the jail system. Miss Richie was cooperative during the process. Based on her sentence and federal court guidelines, Miss Richie was released at 4:37 PM today.

Based on her paying them off, they mean. How come they didn’t include that in their little statement? Ehh, I don’t really care that shes already out. You had to figure she’d get special treatment to the extreme, too. I’m glad, though, that she got in-and-out without having to spend as much time as Paris Hilton. It’s a burn on Paris and it makes my day!
