Elton John had an Oscar party, like he always does. And after looking through the pictures from the turn out and watching the Oscars last night, it seems like the big name celebrities were sort of missing this year. Granted, they probably didn’t make any good movies but still. Where were Ben Affleck, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Aniston, Vince Vaughn, Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Hugh Jackman, Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt… I mean, where were all the celebrities that make you take notice? Yes, a few of my favorites (Kate Winslet, Colin Firth) were at the Oscars and yes a few of my favorites (but not super famous) celeb’s went to Elton’s (Michelle Rodriguez, Christina Hendricks) but it just seemed a bit blah this year. The Vanity Fair party had a little better turn out (Natalie Portman, Hilary Swank) but still a bit lack luster. Seems like Jimmy Kimmel gets more famous people in his sketches than the Oscars and after parties combined! Pics of celebrities partying after Oscar night below.

 

It’s official! Using their song lyrics and blog, the Spice Girls bid a final farewell Wednesday to cap the conclusion of their successful reunion tour.

“Our time is up … we’ve come to the end of the road … there are tears of both sadness and joy. Look how far we’ve come!,” the group wrote on their Web site. “Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true.”

The letter to fans on the Spice blog was signed with love from Emma [Bunton], Geri [Halliwell], Mel B [Brown], Melanie C [Chisolm] and Victoria [Beckham] after concluding a song best summed up their feelings:

“Goodbye my friend, it’s not the end … So glad we made it, time will never ever change it … ”

The Spice Girls, who last year reunited for the first time since 1998 and completed shows in Europe and the U.S., closed their tour with a show in Toronto Tuesday night. They were originally scheduled to go to Australia and South America, but family obligations and an already overextended timeline wouldn’t allow for it.

As for whether the Spice Girls are done for good or just taking another break, the ladies write, “We look to the future with hope and imagination and let Girl Power live on through all of you as it will continue in us and the future generations to come.”

Here are some new pictures of the Spice Girls. I’m not sure what they’re for–maybe just some promotional pictures–but they’re all pretty good. Granted, I’m sure they’ve been carefully edited, everyone seems to be looking just as good as they did before–if not better! There aren’t many of Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice, but I take it as a good thing because she really isn’t that pretty. In fact, her nose is hideous! Oink, oink! I heard that Posh isn’t going to have a lot of vocals on the new album, either. Burn! Yet somehow, she seems to be the most famous?! I think we should all make Ginger and Baby superstars! Seriously. They’re the hottest and apparently the most talented.

Man, being a pop singer must really make you want to go bonkers and do crazy stuff. First the rumors that Britney Spears turned bisexual and was hooking up with girls and now Melanie Brown.

Brown, who just had a baby with Eddie Murphy, just married Stephen Belafonte. Christa Parker, whose children go to school with Scary’s children, has come out to a magazine and said she has had lesbian encounters with Scary.

“I had only had sex with a woman once before…but Mel was obviously very experienced with women. She is a great kisser.”

Christa claims that when Melanie and Eddie Murphy stated dating, she cut off her lesbian encounters. She also says shes worried for Melanie now because of her new husbands past as a wife-beater.

“Mel is so vulnerable. I’m very worried about her. I hope she’s happy. I just don’t want to see her hurt.”

This lady doesn’t give a shit about Melanie or her life. If she did, she wouldn’t be telling this story (which still could be totally untrue) to any magazines. It’s sad what people will do for a little cash.

When an ex-girlfriend and ex-wife have lunch together, and they kiss, hug, and laugh throughout the whole lunch, it must been they’re talking ish and loving it.

Melanie Brown, who just gave birth to a baby girl named Angel, dated Eddie Murphy for a short while. When she became pregnant, Eddie Murphy accused her of sleeping around and dumped her. The baby, consequently, is Eddie’s and this has been proved through blood tests. Eddie has still not seen his child face-to-face. What a class act!

His ex-wife Nicole brought their daughter Bella and Melanie Brown, who is getting ready for a huge Spice Girls Tour, brought Angel. The older, Bella, held Angel for a bit as the ex’s talked.

Gotta wonder what they were saying, you know?

This is a picture of Melanie Brown arriving at the lunch date over the weekend. She is always wearing a skin tight dress with her boobs hanging out, isn’t she? And it seems like she’s always just barely hanging onto that baby. It looks like she is always five seconds from dropping Angel on her head almost everytime she carries her. Good luck with that!

I was under the impression that singing groups reunited because of popular demand so maybe that is why I’m finding it so difficult to understand why The Spice Girls would be getting back together. I know in America that no one was really too sad to see them go, and now I hear they are embarking on a 25-city world tour. Why? So they can sing horribly crappy pop songs from the mid-90′s that were just mediocre then (and probably worse now)? Here’s why.

Each of the girls is getting $20 million to do the tour. And everything is going to be recorded already, just so there aren’t any Ashlee Simpson moments I guess. Either way I think they are lame.

Is it just me or is Victoria Beckham totally hideous? I really can’t stand her. I can’t! She looks like a stuck-up pig with fake boobs and an eating disorder. Mean. True, though.
