Matthew McConaughey is a Dad, Part Deux

Matthew McConaughey and Camila AlvesYesterday Actor Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves welcomed their second child–a girl named Vida Alves McConaughey. Vida is their second child; the couple also have a seventeen month old son named Levi. Matthew and Camila issued this statement:

Vida is Portuguese for ‘life’ and that’s what God gave us this morning… Camila’s recovering wonderfully and we are both truly honored to welcome this little lady into our family… thanks for all your well wishes and prayers along the way, another blessed day, we give thanks, just keep livin’, –Matthew and Camila.

Vida was born at 12:13am in Malibu, California where the couple reside. Congratulations to them.

Edit: Are you wondering who the #$^* Camila Alves is and how she got Matthew McConaughey? The first time I heard about her years ago when they first got together I wondered that, too. Let me break it down for you: Matthew probably was just looking for a smokin hot girl (see pictures below) who liked to smoke (he’s a stoner) and was willing to give up smoking to have a family for him–to make a more wholesome image–and then the two of them would go back to lookin’ good and smoking a lot. That’s my theory and if you defend him because you like his shitty movies then you’re delusional. Hollywood is full of screwed up people and I think he may be leading the pack!

Camilla Alves Gives Birth

Camilla Alves, the girlfriend of Matthew McConaughey, gave birth to their first child yesterday afternoon. The baby boy weighed 7lbs 4oz but a name has yet to be released.

This is the first child for both Camilla and Matthew. I wonder if they will get married? I also kind of wonder if Camilla has money of her own or if Matthew is her money train? Anyway. Congratulations to them.

UPDATE: The baby’s name is Levi Alves McConaughey.  Hey, it could’ve been worse. Apparently, though, Levi is a biblical name that is alternate for Matthew. I guess that makes it harder to make fun of. Not impossible though.

Matthew McConaughey Got Camilla Alves Pregnant

What a surprise for the New Year! Actor Matthew McConaughey is expecting his first child with girlfriend Camilla Alves. The news broke via Matthew on his personal blog (which I didn’t even know he had until now) and he said this:

“My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together … its 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far.”

I don’t know much about either of ‘em cause I think Matthew McConaughey is cheesy and not that great of an actor. I don’t like any of his movies. Let’s hope his parenting skills are better than his acting skills! HA! Okay–Congratulations to the both of them. Let’s hope it doesn’t come out looking like Owen Wilson. You never know–those two spend a lot of time together.

Quotes from People’s Most Beautiful People of 2007

People Magazine voted Drew Barrymore the World’s Most Beautiful Person, and then there was a list of other celebs who made the beautiful people list. Some of the choices are questionable, but whatever. Here’s what Drew and the others said, about being beautiful and other beautiful random stuff.

Drew Barrymore on when she feels beautiful:

“Right after I’ve worked out and I’m sweating all over the place and my face is two different colors of white and red and my hair is half wet, half dry and I look like I’m about to have a heart attack. I feel like I’ve changed the shape of my body temporarily into something more flexible and strong.”

Scarlett Johansson said:

“My hair is such a disaster. I never blow-dry. I can’t do my hair at all. It?s just a burden,” admits the star ofThe Nanny Diaries. But the 22-year-old does like one specific part of her anatomy: “I think I have really good feet. They’re cute!”

Jennifer Aniston on yoga:

“I’ve had everything from deep laughter to deep sadness, where I was crying through moves,” she told Self magazine. “It’s good to get that stuff out. You feel like you’re having a therapy session, a workout and a meditation at the same time.”

Patrick Dempsey:

“The gray hairs certainly have come in the last few months,” says the 41-year-old of the grey in his anatomy. “The last year has been difficult on many levels, with the show moving to Thursday night, and everything that happened this year, and worrying that everything was going to go all right with the boys [newborns Darby and Sullivan] and my wife [Jill, age 41]. But they’ve ceased to come in as quickly.”

Halle Berry on aging:

“My choices today reflect the way I feel about myself – I’m happier than I’ve ever been and very comfortable being who and what I am. My current look is confident and sophisticated, with a bit of an edge but always comfortable.”

Jennifer Garner on Violet and Ben:

“Ben and I like more things in ourselves that we now see reflected in Violet. To see my dimples in her makes me like my dimples because I share them with her.”

Katherine Heigl:

“Hair to me is not a priority. All I ever do is throw it in a bun,” admits the Grey’s Anatomy star, 28. “The only thing I know how to do is hot rollers, which is sort of over. I can’t style bangs even though I love them and I’m always like, ‘Let’s cut some bangs!’ And then I’m stuck with hair I can’t figure out.”

Matthew McConaughey:

“I can be pretty vain. Vanity’s not so bad,” admits the 37-year-old. “Look, do I work out because I like to look good? Yes, that part’s vanity. Do I work out because it makes me feel better? Yes, and that’s not vanity.”

Jennifer Lopez:

“I like to look good for Marc,” she says of her husband, Marc Anthony. As for her beauty routine? “I don’t use a lot of expensive creams,” says Lopez, 37. “It’s more simple: mild cleanser, sunscreen and lots of water.”

Eric Bana:

“People in L.A. look too good to me. It’s important to keep flaws,” the 38-year-old Aussie says. In fact, the Lucky You star says his best look comes purely by accident: “I look my best when I take my helmet off after a long motorcycle ride. I have a glow and a bit of helmet hair.”

Kerry Washington:

“When I first started meeting with agents, I remember one immediately telling me all the things I had to change: I’d have to get my teeth fixed, lose weight,” remembers the 30-year-old actress, next in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. “Then I met with another agent two weeks later who was like, ‘You’re perfect – let’s start.’ That’s a good rule to follow: Go where the love is.”

Pete Wentz on the rockstar life and eyeliner:

“I get a ton of under-eye circles because I don’t sleep. Usually I’ll just put on more eye makeup and let it blur in.”

Helen Mirren on staying sexy:

“Number one, I have never smoked. When you are young, you seem indestructible. As you get older, you realize how much it’s helping you. I’ve never done anything to excess, really.” She also thanks her “fundamentally sunny nature,” saying, “unhappiness etches itself on one’s face very quickly.”

Reese Witherspoon:

“Some people are effortlessly glamorous and sexy,” the actress, 31, has told PEOPLE. “For me, a lot of that stuff is difficult.” Still, her skin-care regimen sounds pretty easy: “I just wear a lot of sunscreen. That’s it. Nothing more. I’m just lucky my grandma gave me great skin.

Wentworth Miller:

“I’ve been shaving my head on and off for years, but for a low-maintenance look, it takes a lot of maintenance – I have to cut it twice a week!”

Carrie Underwood:

“I had a couple of freckles on my face that I didn’t like, so I had them removed,” admits the 24-year-old country star. “And I remember one kid said, ‘Now I can’t play connect-the-dots on your face anymore!’ I’ll never forget that.”

Who’s Your Daddy?

Who's Your Daddy

This is pretty funny. Have you ever heard of a site called PostSecret? Well, if you haven’t, here is what the blogspot site does: PostSecret is a site that publishes secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard. The secrets are real and the people stay anonymous. And today they posted on helluva secret.

The postcard reads (in case you can’t tell): “One of these men is the father. He pays me A LOT to keep it a secret!”

The men in the picture are (..in case you can’t tell): Vince Vaughn, Christian Slater, Ryan Phillippe, Simon Cowell, Adrien Grenier, Patrick Dempsey, Nick Lachey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Marc Anthony, Kevin Federline, Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt, Tobey Maguire, Jim Carrey, Ryan Seacrest, George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, Justin Timberlake, and Freddie Prinze Jr.

Edit: When one PostSecret reader was right-clicking to save the image, the image title came up “Christian.jpg” Is this a mistake? Or something to throw everyone off? Humm..

Marc Anthony better watch out. J.Lo wants him all to herself and if she finds out he’s got a kid that she didn’t mother, girlfriend just might lose her do-rag and go bonkers.

And let’s be real, K-Fed isn’t paying anyone a lot of money. If anything, he’s asking for hand-outs.

Who do you think the baby’s daddy is??
