Well, after 48 days in the Glendale City Jail, Kiefer Sutherland is officially a free man.

BUT…

Is he still an alcoholic who drinks too much socially and a little bit too much in his own private time? Yes, probably. Will we most likely see him back in the system within the next couple of years? Yes, probably. Am I holding my breath for any of these selfish, over-paid celebrities to clean up their stupid lives and finally do something positive for themselves and society? No, definitely not.

Well, I’m happy that he got out. He had to be in jail for Christmas and New Years. And his birthday.

I wonder if any of the guards brought him spiked Egg Nog? Yes, probably! Today will now be known as The Day That Kiefer Got Out, Again. What? It’s Martin Luther King Day? Not anymore!

Edit: For those of you who don’t care about the Kief, don’t worry– I don’t care either. I don’t watch his show, either. I just gotta stay updated on his troubles because my roommate loves him and I like to give him the sad scoop when I can!

Ahh, what a great time to turn yourself into the clink! Actress Michelle Rodriguez, who turned herself into the Lynwood Correctional Facility yesterday evening, will be serving  her time in jail due to violation of probation (not doing her community service and toying with her ankle bracelet). Actor Kiefer Sutherland will be serving his time in jail for DUIs.

I bet their parents are so proud they can hardly stand it! For Michelle, being in jail ain’t so bad. She probably loves being the center of attention in the jail (since she gets no attention in Hollywood from other celebs) and she’s surrounded by manly women who want to get with her (and since she’s a lesbian that’s got to be something she’s thinking about!) so what could make this a negative thing?!

Kiefer, on the other hand, is probably miserable out of his mind! He probably doesn’t even know he’s in jail.. homegirl just wants to get his hands on some drink and then he’ll be allllll better!

Being in jail for Christmas must really suck. I wouldn’t know, though, because I’m not an over-paid idiot with a drinking problem who insists on driving everywhere, no matter what. But Kiefer Sutherland, on the other unfortunate hand, is. And because he’s got a number of DUI’s under his belt, he’s finally behind bars. Yesterday he started his 48-day sentence. He will probably get out early because that’s how the law works when you’re famous, but I hope he doesn’t. I don’t know if he will ever really learn his lesson, but letting him out of the slammer early surely isn’t going to help. TMZ reports:

TMZ spoke with Glendale Police Chief Randy Adams, who said Kiefer will be treated “just like anyone else,” adding, “The fact that he’s a celebrity — he checked that at the door when he checked in.” Chief Adams said Sutherland will perform laundry and kitchen duties and will serve the entire 48 days consecutively. The Chief said Kiefer will not share a cell, but that is S.O.P. in Glendeezy because all “long term inmates” get their own digs.

Hey, if he is going to be in jail at least make it real! He should have to share a cell with someone and be forced to talk to them, and find out more about their life. I mean, wouldn’t that help open his eyes? I don’t care about the show 24 but I think Kiefer is a good actor and I would hate to see him turn into the next Tom Sizemore, you know? Good luck to him and I hope he learns from this!

Kiefer Sutherland, who may or may not have a bit of an addiction to the sauce, plead no contest to his DUI charges on Tuesday and will serve 30 days in jail for his DUI, along with another 18 days in jail for his probation violation. Kiefer, on damage control once again, released the following statement:

“I’m very disappointed in myself for the poor judgment I exhibited recently, and I’m deeply sorry for the disappointment and distress this has caused my family, friends and coworkers on 24 and at 20th Century Fox.”

I think he’s sorry, but I also believed him the first three times, too. I think maybe its time for a little bit of Rehab for Mr. Jack Bauer. That, or he needs to get a freaking driver. Is it that hard!? I don’t think so. How come he’s not going to jail for just like, two days, like all the chick celebrities? I say we start a petition! (Except I think he should be in longer, so that wouldn’t work!)

You know you’re an alcoholic when you get a DUI on a Tuesday morning! No, no, I’m just kidding. When you’re famous, you can party whatever night you want and it’s never frowned upon… right?

24 actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested this morning at 1:10am in west Los Angeles. He failed a field sobriety test and tested over the state’s legal blood alcohol limit of .08. Kiefer was arrested on misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. It is unknown whether of not Kiefer stayed in the custody of the police.

Dang! I bet you Kiefer is a sloppy ass drunk. He’s probably telling everyone around him “Do you even know who I am?! I’m on 24, bitch!” I could just see it. But honestly, what I find funny is that a normal person who, say worked at a public or state job, couldn’t get a DUI without probably losing their job. But actors, they can really do whatever they want without losing anything besides a little cash! DUI’s are common to celebrities. Its like the equivalent of.. hell, I can’t think of anything. I was going to say losing a dollar in your jeans.. you’re bummed but it doesn’t phase you. BUT, I get depressed for weeks if I lose even a quarter! Celebrities are so out of the loop of reality!
