Britney Spears plans to attend a hearing Tuesday in a Los Angeles family court, a court spokesman confirms.

“It’s a hearing to discuss the status of her case,” said court rep Allan Parachini.

Asked if her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, would show, his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan replied, “Kevin has been at every important hearing. I view Tuesday as an important hearing.”

Spears, 26, returned to Los Angeles Sunday night after flying to Kentwood, La., to attend a baby shower for her expectant 17-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn, over the weekend.

Britney currently has monitored visitation rights with her sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, several times a week, but no overnight privileges.

Recently, a report was completed by the ex-couple’s child custody evaluator, which could heavily influence future visitation arrangements.

The pop star’s father, Jamie, and a lawyer remain in legal control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing.

Kevin Federline, as much as we’ve all been trying not to say it, has turned out to be a better guy than we initially gave him credit for. At first I thought he was just trying to marry Britney because she’s rich and she loved him madly (I still think that was the case) and then he planned to jump ship after the kids, knowing how much money he could get that way. But I think he didn’t get a chance to play out the second part of his trick because Britney ended up being far different than he had planned. Crazy, to be exact. And now Kevin Federline had a reality show on the E! network but he’s decided to put that off.. because of Britney! Man, when everyone else in her life is taking advantage of her, it’s nice to finally see someone who won’t add to the damage (anymore, at least).

The E! show was set to document the life of single, working dad, K-Fed and his ever-expanding brood. The failed rap star has sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, with Spears. He also has a daughter Kori, 6, and a son Kaleb, 4, with actress Shar Jackson. “His plans are on hold because of the Britney situation. He had planned to do it, but not now,” a source close to the Federline camp told E!

I give K-Fed props for this because you know he probably doesn’t get very many job offers. And when he finally gets one–for a reality show that will probably boost his fame AND credibility–he decides to can it for legal matters. That’s a lot better than I expected out of him. I think I’m starting to look at him different. While I won’t forget that he was a scum bag in the beginning, I’ve got to say I sort of like him now.. What do you guys think?

Because Britney Spears went completely bonkers last night and had to be hospitalized, Kevin Federline and his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, have jumped into action. They are asking the judge for full custody of Britney and Kevin’s two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Ordinarily I’d say K-Fed doesn’t deserve ‘em but this time I think,  no matter how much money he’s getting out of it, he should have them. Look at all the drama Britney puts everyone through? Crazy or not I’ve got to say, she’s pretty freaking selfish. Usmagazine reports:

Hours after Britney Spears was rushed to the hospital on a gurney, Kevin Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan called an emergency meeting in the couple’s ongoing custody battle Friday morning at L.A. Superior Court.

Spears’ attorney, Tara Scott, was also present.

A rep for Kaplan told reporters, “Due to the circumstances, Mark Kaplan will not be making any statements to the media today.”

A source tells Us Kaplan planned to ask the judge to strip Spears of visitation while she’s on a 72-hour lockdown at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai hospital. She has been labeled a “special needs” patient, a hospital source tells Us.

After she was taken to Cedars-Sinai Thursday (following a nearly three-hour custody standoff involving her sons), LAPD Officer Jason Lee told City News Service that Spears appeared to be under the influence of an “unknown substance.”

Last September, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon called Spears a “habitual, frequent and continuous” user of alcohol and controlled substances, and ordered her to undergo twice-weekly random testing.

Two weeks later, she was temporarily lost of custody of her sons; Federline now retains physical custody.

I really hope that K-Fed is doing the right thing for his boys right now! I mean, I hope he isn’t planning to do all this just so he can gain financially for it.. or get media attention for it. I hope he knows how bad his kids need a freaking parent right now. Seriously!

Britney Fails Drug Test. Finally it’s happened! We all knew it would we just didn’t know when. Britney Spears has failed one of her court-ordered drug tests. Her urine test came back positive and already “sources” are saying that it is a false reading. False, my ass! She’s a drug head and we all now officially know it! Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin Federline’s lawyer, is going to court Wednesday to show the judge a video of Britney running a red light. He is pushing for Britney to lose the privilege of driving her sons around when she is with them. I agree! I think he should also push to give Britney a mandatory bath and teeth brushing! Amen! Prince Harry is Single. Prince Harry and his girlfriend of three years, Chelsy Davy, have broken up. Reports say that she broke up with him over the phone. Apparently Chelsy was sick of her man getting hammered all the time and cheating on her with random breezies. Nicolette Sheridan is Pregnant, Maybe. Desperate Housewives actress Nicolette Sheridan is 44 years old and rumored to be pregnant with her fiances baby. Her fiance, Michael Bolton, is 54 years old. Both of these people are hot for being past the baby-having age and they’re loaded so they can handle it. Hell, its probably better for mature people like this to have a baby then partying-young couples like Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. If it’s true, I hope it’s healthy and wish ‘em the best. Elisabeth Hasselbeck Had a Baby. Weighing in a 7 lbs 15 ounces, The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck and her NFL star husband Tim Hasselbeck welcomed a baby boy on Friday in Arizona. The baby’s name will be announced on The View on Monday with Elisabeth calling in from Arizona. Cheesy! Plus I don’t care what the baby’s name is. I just hope the producers of that show wise up and don’t invite Elisabeth back. I’m so sick of her loud mouth, honestly! (Source)

The American Museum of Moving Image’s just honored Tom Cruise but his Lions for Lambs co-stars, Robert Redford and Meryl Streep, weren’t there because they can’t stand his ass! According to The News of the World, Oprah wanted to sit down with Britney Spears and have a talk with her, but Britney didn’t return any of Oprah’s calls. Victoria Beckham to Gain Weight. Victoria Beckham has been told by her bosses that she needs to gain weight in order to keep up her rigorous performing schedule with The Spice Girls. Victoria, who is Posh Spice, is terrified of gaining weight and her bosses are having to really talk her into it. The pop star also talks about her doting husband Jordan Bratman, the approximate time she will become a mother, and how she’s managed to steer clear of the party and drug scene, unlike many of her colleagues. According to TMZ, Britney Spears plans to be in court this morning at 8:30am to ask the judge for overnight visitation with her two sons. While Britney’s lawyer will for sure be there, it is only rumored that Britney will show up, but her being their will help show how much she wants her sons. I say she doesn’t show.

With a couple of clean drug tests under her belt, I guess she feels like shes got some lead way. Kevin Federline and his lawyers, on the other hand, don’t think Britney has any good intentions. They also don’t think she realizes you can’t just change a court order after its given. K-Fed’s lawyer said,

“The fact that a party, one week after a full court hearing, attempts to change the orders of the court, in the absence of an emergency or without any new facts, suggests a continued lack of respect and understanding for what an order of the court actually means.”

I totally agree. Isn’t it crazy that we used to hate K-Fed and beg Britney Spears to leave him and now he’s like, father of the year and stuff? I hope he keeps up the good image because those little boys need at least one person semi-realistic and caring to live with. Britney Spears is a nasty mess and I hope the judge turns her ass down!

Oh and P.S. Britney, Kevin, SP, and JJ all have pink eye. Sick!
