I love John Goodman, I seriously do. I always watched Roseanne, and I still TiVo it sometimes, and he was great in O Brother Where Art Thou but I had no idea he had a substance abuse problem.

I am always dreading that one day we will hear he had a heart attack or something, cause he’s always been so big, but thank goodness nothing like that has happened yet. But, almost as sad, John Goodman has just revealed he was in rehab. I hope he is all better. He had this to say:

“For my family and myself, I voluntarily took the necessary steps to remain sober the rest of my life.”

Let’s hope he will stay sober, we can’t afford to lose another good actor to drugs and alcohol! On a lighter note, doesn’t it look like he’s wearing a really crappy hair piece in this picture? And what’s going on with the blood underneath his nose and his blind-looking eye? Kinda creepy, I have to admit.

John was at Promises in Malibu where both Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears went to get rehabbed. The place must not work that well because both Lohan and Spears were problematic after they left the facility. Hope it works for Dan Conner better than it did for those girls!
