Some good news for the Spears family, at long last: Jamie Lynn passed the GED, and now she’s already thinking about college.

People reports that she passed the equivalency test about a month ago, “scoring particularly well on her reading comprehension,” and may be moving onto the ACT. “She’s already got her diploma,” says a friend, to People. “When she gets something in her head, she’ll make it happen.” Like a baby, perhaps?

Just a month ago, J.L. was seen walking around with a GED near her home in Louisiana.

According to news outlets, Jamie Lynn Spears is tired of her mother (and everyone else in the world) giving all of the attention to Britney. The 16-year-old pregnant Zoey 101 star is said to be tired of being around the drama and wants to move to Los Angeles and live with her father, Jamie Spears. Currently, Jamie Lynn is living with her mother in Kentwood, Louisiana and had planned to give birth and live with her mom; Lynne Spears was going to help raise the baby while Jamie Lynn kept pursuing her dreams to be an actress. But now plans have changed. Jamie Lynn wants to be with her dad in L.A. to get a break from her mom and so she will be closer to acting jobs once the baby is born. But wait, there’s a catch to Jamie Lynn moving west.

But Jamie Lynn’s plans to become a working mom aren’t the only reason Britney’s little sis decided to go west. Lynne’s decided that the teenager’s baby daddy, Casey Aldridge, is off limits.

So even though they make it sound like Jamie Lynn is up and leaving her mooching mama, in reality, Lynne Spears is telling her to go in just one more attempt to control her daughter’s life! That’s typical from this lady. She let’s her daughters do whatever they want and stays mum–as long as she’s getting a check–and then once shit hits the fan, she’s got her tentacles everywhere. This lady needs mothering lessons–seriously! I say Jamie Lynn goes to live with her dad and tries to be on the DL from now on. Show Britney up with class!

Interesting. Star Magazine is reporting that Jamie Lynn Spears has changed her mind about raising her own baby. THe magazine claims that as soon as the child is born she will give it up to her mother, Lynne, who will adopt the child and raise it so that Jamie Lynn can focus on her career. The magazine also makes it seem like this was more of Lynne’s decision than Jamie Lynn’s. I believe that! Lynne needs to make money off of at least one of her kids or else what will she do? She’d have to get a real job and we all know that’s not happening! Here’s what the magazine says about the situation:

“After several weeks of personal soul searching and talks and discussions with her mum Jamie Lynn reluctantly agreed that giving up the baby is the right thing to do. Lynne says Jamie doesn’t understand the life long consequences of having a baby. She still wants her daughter to be able to be a teenager, go to parties, hang out with friends and have a career. So she’ll take the front seat of caring for the baby and take the pressure off her daughter.”

“Lynne is convinced that having a baby on her hip will not help Jamie Lynn’s future in the business and she’s expecting her daughter to pick up where she left off as soon as the baby is born.”

I don’t know about you but this whole story is sounding unbelievably selfish to me. These people think they can just hand a baby off and poof! No responsibility or feeling is left. I seriously think that if Jamie Lynn is going to carry the baby and give birth to it, then she should keep it and raise it. She should show Britney how to step up to life’s responsibilities! And Lynne Spears, I hate to say it, seems like she’s not that great of a mother. I mean, who says they will raise their daughter’s baby so she can “party” and “work”? Not cool. Very not cool.

As the shock of Jamie Lynn Spears’ teen pregnancy dissipates, questions of responsibility and blame have landed on her mother and manager, Lynne.

“Jamie wanted something different for her life, and her mom put her in situations she didn’t want to be in,” Alexa Nikolas, Spears’ Zoey 101 costar, tells Us Weekly in its new issue, on newsstands now.

Unanimously, multiple friends and family say Jamie Lynn never wanted to be a star. “She never cared about celebrity,” says one old family friend. “She preferred Kentwood [Louisiana].”

Meanwhile, says a family friend, Lynne “treats her girls like a piggy bank.”

Indeed, as soon as Jamie Lynn, 16, confided in her co-manager mother, 52, about her unexpected pregnancy, Lynne convinced her introverted daughter (to the displeasure of her father) to break the news to the world on the cover of OK! magazine.

“Lynne knew OK! would pay the most,” a source tells Us. “It was her decision.”

Which is why even Jamie Lynn’s older sister Britney was kept out of the loop. “They didn’t want her to screw up the deal,” a family source tells Us. Instead, Lynne shared the news with Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline.

From the start of Britney’s career, Lynne, a former school teacher, made certain she received a percentage of money off both her daughters’ deals, Us reports.

“Lynne got all her money through those girls and loved it when it started rolling in,” a source tells Us. “She’s the only one with a Land Rover in Kentwood.”

And the drama just keeps coming! We took one day off to relax and enjoy Christmas time, but now we’re back to spreading the drama. Let’s start off Wednesday with Jamie Lynn drama! I mean, if it’s not Britney drama then of course it’s Jamie Lynn drama, right?

16-year-old Zoey 101 star Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant with her on-again/off-again boyfriend Casey Aldridge’s baby. Or is she? New reports are claiming that the Spears family is paying off Casey Aldridge to act like he’s the father so that the real dad, an old dude who is an exec on Zoey, won’t face statutory rape charges. Wow, that’s class! Star Magazine reports:

“Casey is being paid off to be the family’s fall guy while the real father remains unidentified. The man many suspect is the father, however, would face charges and probably prison time if he were to come forward and admit he had sex with her.”

These reports also claim that this old guy is taking advantage of Jamie Lynn. (Just like her Mommy and Daddy!) And that Casey Aldridge cheated on Jamie Lynn with some other chick and only told her about it cause the chick on the side had a pregnancy scare. Seriously, how do these people not live in a trailer and wear overalls? This is so hick.  So now this new story means there are three possible fathers to Jamie Lynn’s baby: Casey Aldridge, Lil’ Romeo, and Old Executive Guy. Awesome!

You know what pisses me off? Up until this whole Jamie Lynn pregnancy drama, I had pretty much stopped writing about Britney Spears and her pointless, daily crap. I was beginning to like celebrity blogging again! And with Lindsay and Paris laying low, I got a chance to write about new people and good stuff. But now… thats all down the drain because Britney and her little sister are in the news so much and will be now for a long time. What a crappy Christmas gift that is. I’d rather have coal.

Anyway. I guess Britney was pretty pissed off to find out from the media that Jamie Lynn was pregnant.

Whatever though. I don’t blame Jamie Lynn. Britney IS self-absorbed and she wants all the attention, you can tell. And you can’t trust a crack-head like Britney. She probably would’ve sold the story to OK! to get Starbucks money. I’m going to laugh my ass off when Jamie Lynn ends up being a better mother than Britney. Then Britney will really have a reason to be depressed. In terms of the long run, I guess that is a gift enough.. breaking Britney down even more.

I wonder what K-Fed is thinking right now? You know part of him is wishing he would’ve hooked up with JL and that it was his baby. Think of all the money he’d be getting right about now?! The ultimate Spears jackpot!
