Here are a few pictures of actress Drea De Matteo hanging out with actress and thief, Winona Ryder. I know stealing is wrong but I don’t care that Winona got caught stealing because she is in my all-time favorite movie Beetlejuice and that, therefore, lets her off the hook. I like to see these two hanging out because Drea De Matteo is my FAVORITE character off of The Sopranos. I’m in the middle of Season 5 right now and I know her character, Adriana La Cerva, gets killed. I found out this devastating news when I was at the grocery store flipping through the Vanity Fair with the cast on the cover. I pulled the cover out and on the fold there were all the people who were dead–Pussy, Gloria, and Adriana. I was honestly upset. I couldn’t stop talking about it or thinking about it for like, 3 whole days. Sounds stupid, I know, because it’s just a television show. But when I watch The Sopranos it’s like the world is gone. It’s such a great show, you know? Anyway, so I like to see Drea out and about because you never really see her. She’s great.
Does anybody else watch The Sopranos?
I’m not watching the new ones on HBO because I don’t get HBO.. I’m going to get them on NetFlix when they come out. Don’t tell me what happens if you do watch it!
Here’s a brief bio about Drea thanks to Wiki:
Andrea Donna “Drea” de Matteo (born January 19, 1972) is an Emmy-winning Italian-American actress, perhaps most famous for her roles as Adriana La Cerva on the HBO TV series The Sopranos and as Joey Tribbiani’s sister Gina on the NBC sitcom Joey.
After graduating from the prestigious Loyola School, she studied at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, originally hoping to become a director, not an actress. Her role in The Sopranos was one of her earliest, helping to launch her career. She has also appeared in several films including Swordfish, Deuces Wild, The Perfect You and the 2005 remake of John Carpenter’s 1976 action film Assault on Precinct 13.
She also portrayed Joey Tribbiani’s sister Gina in the Friends spin-off Joey.
In 2004, de Matteo won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress (Drama) for her role on The Sopranos. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe that same year for the same role.
She was ranked #42 and #56 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2001 and 2002, respectively.[1][2]
Drea de Matteo has made comments indicating she might be bisexual. In 2005 she told an interviewer from UK newspaper Britain Sport Daily “I love men and they’re who I go out with but every now and then . . . well, I can’t say I’ve never been with a woman”. But despite this she told Howard Stern she considers herself heterosexual.
She currently lives in New York City, where she also formerly owned now-closed Filth Mart, an East Village clothing store, with best friend and ex-boyfriend Michael Sportes. She is currently dating Shooter Jennings, son of country music legend Waylon Jennings.
She speaks fluent Italian and Spanish, which she learned as a child from her nanny.
