Why is it that David Letterman provokes the nastiest but funniest truths out of people? I love it.

Kid Rock was on The Late Show with David Letterman last night.

It’s funny because Kid Rock hasn’t done crap for years but yet he’s still getting paid to go on talk shows just because he was married to someone who’s on the C list. Fame is funny, isn’t it? Anyway, Kid was on Letterman and OF COURSE Dave had to ask him what he thought about Pamela Anderson marrying Rick Salomon. Here’s what Kid said (and it’s pretty fun, not to mention true):

“I wish somebody would have given me the advice I’m about to give Rick Salomon. Why buy the cow, when you get the milk for free?“

“I wish them much happiness.”

Ha! What a burn on her! I love burns because they’re true! Some would say Kid Rock is just bitter but I don’t think so. I think he’s just being honest and it just so happens that its funny, too. If you want to see the video of it, click here.

Ever wonder how much money celebrities make? Well we all hear about how much Julia Roberts makes, and how Oprah is the most powerful woman financially. But you don’t really hear about some celebrities that we all like, but aren’t constantly in the media. So here’s a small list of what some celebrities are making.. whether it is their annual income or per movie.

• Kelly Ripa, host of Live with Regis and Kelly, earns just $7 million a year.

• Simon Cowell, judge of American Idol, made $2 Million in 2006.

• Judith Sheindlin, host of Judge Judy, makes $25 Million a year from her show.

• Kobe Bryant, professional athlete, makes $13 Million a year/

• Donald Trump, a man who does everything, made over $100 Million in 2006.

• Chelsea Clinton makes $120,000 a year.

• Dick Wolf, creator of television series including CSI, made $200 Million in 2006.

• James Gandolfini, star of The Sopranos, made $10 Million in 2006.

• David Letterman, host of The Late Show with David Letterman, makes $31 Million a year.

Celebrities make so much for what seems like such an easy job! And David Letterman makes a lot for just talking to people and having people write funny jokes for him. Sickening! I think Conan earns whatever he makes, but I’m not sure Regis and Kelly are quite worth all that! They just sort of annoy me.
