Alicia Keys recently did an interview with Blender Magazine for their May issue and said a bunch of stupid crap. Between saying gansta rap wasn’t real (it was a ploy from the government to get black people to kill each other) and that Biggie and Tupac were killed by the government, she pretty much blew smoke up everyone’s ass. But now, after seeing how many people are laughing at her, she’s accusing of Blender of twisting her words. She released the following statement:

“My comments about ‘gangsta rap’ were in no way trying to suggest that the government is responsible for creating this genre of rap music. The point that I was trying to make was that the term was oversloganized by some of the media causing reactions that were not always positive. Many of the ‘gangsta rap’ lyrics articulate the problems of the artists’ experiences and I think all of us, including our leaders, could be doing more to address these problems including drugs, gang violence, crime, and other related social issues.”

Damage control! Alicia doesn’t want people to know she was doing drugs at the time of that interview. You know she was. She can’t possibly believe all the crazy shit she said.

The AP is sticking to their story. Do I smell a law suit?

Here is a list of the winners from tonights Video Music Awards that were on MTV. It’s funny because I was worried about missing Britney’s performance but all of my friends reassured me that MTV would play the program over and over for the next month. Then I read online that MTV said they were breaking that habit and decided they wouldn’t re-run the show. So, of course, I watched it. Then I read on the internet that on the East coast, it’s already being replayed. So if any of you guys missed the Britney Spears performance, it will be on again. No worries! I’m disappointed that Fergie was a no-show because I totally like Fergie. I bet she would’ve looked hot. I’m also a bit peeved that the cameras didn’t find Justin Timberlake during Britney’s performance. I wanted to see his face!
