Britney Spears 2007 MTV VMA Performance
Well, I really wanted to come back to my computer with lots of great things to say and to be really excited. Let me tell you, I really wanted that! I mean, I’m not bullshitting. But Britney was more of a disappointment than I imagined she could be.
Britney Spears was the big headliner to open the MTV VMA’s tonight. She was going to perform her new single “Gimme More” but what happened I wouldn’t call performing.
She went up there and half-assed it all. Not only did she lip-sync VERY HORRIBLY (it looked like she wasn’t even saying some of the words and she barely moved her mouth) but she wasn’t into her dancing at all. I mean, she barely did all the moves. It looked like someone who was walking through a rehearsal. Plus, she had on a bikini and homegirl HAS NOT been working out at all. She had the giggle going on which is okay… but not for a bikini, you know? It was honestly terrible. And I had my hand over my mouth through the whole performance. I never thought I’d say this but I’m pissed that MTV let Sarah Silverman talk shit on Britney after her performance. That is totally messed up. Okay, now that I’ve put in my two cents about Britney’s performance, let me say I am very sad and I secretly really wanted this to be a big comeback. Here is a video of the performance. I am a die heard fan of Britney, but I was so disappointed with her performance. I really thought she was gonna come out and tear it up. I was so excited for it. I don’t know what happened. Some are claiming she had a broken heel, which I did not see. I think it was big time stage fright because the rehearsal went very well I heard and I saw a clip and it looked better than the actual performance. She even changed her outfit last minute (so I heard) which was a big no, no. She didn’t look too bad. Everyone was saying she was fat which I did not see. Maybe a little too heavy for the outfit, but not fat. I really wish she could have done excellent to show Kevin she is great without him. I’m really hoping she will bounce back. As for Sarah Silverman, I hate her. None of her jokes were funny and they were all rude. She had no right to talk about Britneys kids..I mean she JUST stepped off stage. W/e shes not funny, never was. Did I mention that Brits song is awesome at least?
Britney obviously had stage jitters . Who can blame her after the nasty comments the media have been passing on her since the whole Kevin business? I think it is unfair to make fun of her after everything she’s been through. I am not a Britney fan but I respect her and I deplore the way she has been treated in the press. I’m pretty sure she will get back on track and deliver great performances just like she used to.

1st, im not a brit fan but i felt hugging her after seeing this clip. she is good yet i think she needs more time to get back which i am excited to see and break this unrespectful people!

performance? bad but i guess it freaked her seeing people who are more curious than i can imagine.

WHo cares?!!? Look at this poor girl and all the hype and lies and everything she has to deal with!! I mean honestly imagine someone talking trash on you children ya how much would it piss you off?? And then have to go preform on national television right after..GIMME GIMME A FREKIN break..leave the poor woman alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well i think people looking like her should not wear outfits like this.. it’s horrible.
I don’t think it was stage jitters at all cause she was sometimes smiling at somebody on the stage or on the stage line like she was doing some sort of a joke like she didn’t care or something. Like “I’m too bad us for this shit” I think her performance can only and sadly show what a deplorable state of mind she is in.
i don’t think i like her bikini. ugly. i think she just not focus on her performance. no body perfect. there’s up and down..it’s only about time, she will be better.go fight britney!!!
one more thing.. i think she’s fat..she could change that.
Hard to say whats goin on with Brits but I think it was a publicity stunt… Give a half assed effort live, get everyone talking, get the publicity, THEN i think an absolutely kick a$$ video clip is gonna hit our screens… If NOT, well she’s got tonnes of money anyway to last her!! Maybe she just don’t care but we’ll see when the video is released hey!! Hope everyone is well out there!

She does look heavy, and yea, it was a pretty lame performance. I think just about anyone could write a song for mainstream pop artists. Write up some lame crap about greed or sex, put it over a decent beat, and repeat it til you gain a following. Weak.
