How can you still hate them for ruining Brad’s marriage when they’re doing great stuff like this?
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated $100,000, through their Pitt-Jolie Foundation, to help build a medical center in Sudan.
More specifically, the money is to help build the Duk Lost Boys Clinic, which will be Duk County’s first modern medical center.
“Words cannot express my gratitude and the gratitude of the people of Duk County. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt demonstrate the American spirit of generosity. Hopefully, their donation will inspire others to join with us to rebuild southern Sudan,” said John Dau, director of Direct Changes Sudan Project.
John is one of the ‘Lost Boys’ of the Sudan and his story is featured in the documentary ‘God Grew Tired of Us’, of which Brad was the executive producer. (He wasn’t doing these kinds of things when he was married to Jennifer Aniston, that’s all I’m saying!) John came up with the idea of building a medical centre for the area and he told Brad and Angelina about the plans at the film’s Hollywood premiere in January.
Angelina Jolie has just returned home from Vietnam where she adopted three-year-old son Pax Thien. Pax will live with Angelina and the family in New Orleans.

I’m not knocking the good works these two do - obviously they’re doing great things. But Angelina is a hypocrite when it comes to her adoptions. She talks a lot about respecting other cultures, then she goes and changes the new kid’s name to something that isn’t part of his language. Then I read today about how the orphanage the kid comes from is overflowing with HIV positive and she specifically requesting to see healthy boys. Then she hand-picks the cutest kid in the bunch. She’s no Mia Farrow - at least she adopts disabled kids.

I don’t know fongool.. that’s a tough thing to say about someone adopting a child.. i think you have a point, but i don’t know if you can necessarily blame her for that.

I sort of agree with both of you!
I think adopting a child and donating money is a very selfless thing to do, and we have to acknowledge that and give credit where credit is due.
However… I also think there’s a lot of commercialism in this and a lot of it is also very media-oriented.
There’s a fine line between the two!

when people do all these things and tell the press first i think it is ll in the interest of self. selling the kids pictures for 2million and then donating some of it is not their money but then again angelina does nothing for nothing. if mr jolie really cared about people he would not have had to meet mrs jolie to do these things he is a whoos and always the woman in his life will lead him by his nose

Heck no it wont last. They are already having problems with just pretending to like eachother. They desired eachother when Brad was married because..’OH..it was forbidden!’
Now its just annoying. I cant stand Angie..shes not a good actress and she is not all that pretty. I think she is a man hungry woman..who wants men who are already taken. Look at her past. And Brad..its a damn fool. BUT…with all these kids they are adopting/having….I do wish them the best. But honestly, im not holding my breath on them staying together.

I agree, she wants what she can’t have and now that she has Brad, I’m not sure she knows what to do with him. Make him have kids so people think their marriage is legit, I guess. The whole thing is mind boggling.
