Keira Knightley was named the number one women’s beauty icon of 2007 in a poll of 2,500 people.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actress beat TV presenter Kelly Brook and supermodel Kate Moss to win the greatest share of votes.

All 10 of the women named as top beauty icons in the Superdrug poll are British.

Glamour model Katie Price, also known as Jordan, came just ahead of Paris Hilton to get the number 10 slot.

Superdrug beauty director Katherine Le Clerc said: “The top 10 beauty icons list shows that today there is room for everyone’s idea of true beauty.”

“From the aloof glamour of Keira Knightley and Victoria Beckham’s high-maintenance gloss to the fresh faced youthful looks of Fearne Cotton, Holly Willoughby and Gemma Atkinson.”

Kate Moss, 33, is the oldest woman in the top 10 followed by Victoria Beckham, Superdrug said.

The survey of 2,500 people was carried out for the retailer by market researchers 72point earlier this month.

These are, in order, the top beauty icons of 2007 as named in the Superdrug poll: Keira Knightley, Kelly Brook, Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Fearne Cotton, Holly Willoughby, Gemma Atkinson, Alesha Dixon, Lily Allen and Jordan.

The welcome mat is out for George Clooney, Keira Knightley and Julia Roberts – as well as the other Golden Globe nominees.

NBC says that the Jan. 13 ceremony will proceed as planned, despite the threat of picketing from the striking Writers Guild of America and stars boycotting the event as a show of support, reports USA Today.

Fears of nominees turning into no-shows had caused some talk of possibly canceling the broadcast or, at a minimum, severely damaging the ratings of the telecast.

On Friday, The New York Times ran a story casting doubt on the possibility of the Globes’ proceeding as originally planned.

The paper quoted Jeff Hermanson, strike coordinator for the Writers Guild of American West and the Writers Guild of America East, as positioning protestors around the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the ceremony will take place.

“If the Globes is telecast and it is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is a struck company, we will picket the show,” he said.

Jorge Camara, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the group behind the Globes, reportedly vowed that the 65th annual ceremony will go on, as intended.

Six weeks after the Globes come the Oscars, on Feb. 24. The star power of the first event is expected to serve as a gauge for the second.

Their Dec. 23 nuptials in snowy Park City, Utah, might have been “incredible and beautiful” – according to T.R. Knight – but Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley’s Mexican honeymoon got off to a rocky start, a source tells PEOPLE.

First, the Grey’s Anatomy star forgot her passport, so “the happy couple could not fly directly to Cabo,” says the source. Instead, the two had to stop over in California first.

But things brightened considerably when the couple made it to Mexico. Kelley, 27, enjoyed some tee time, the source reports, while Heigl, 29, soaked up the sun.

And by Friday, the happy twosome was spotted poolside as Kelley serenaded her new bride – and friends – with songs from his upcoming album.

Singer Brandy will not face charges by the L.A. City Attorney over her 2006 car accident that left a woman dead, Usmagazine.com confirms.

Frank Mateljan, the city attorney’s office spokesman, tells Usmagazine.com:

“The City Attorney’s Office has decided not to file misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charges against Brandy Norwood in the case stemming from a December 30, 2006 traffic collision.

“After conducting a thorough investigation, which included consulting with some of the top accident reconstruction experts in the country, City prosecutors concluded that there was insufficient evidence from which a jury could find Ms. Norwood guilty of such a charge beyond a reasonable doubt.”

On December 30, 2006, Brandy drove her Land Rover into the back of a Honda driven by Awatef Aboudihaj. Aboudihaj’s car smashed into a third vehicle before being struck by someone else. Aboudihaj, 38, later died of her injuries.

Brandy was not injured in the crash. There was no evidence that alcohol or drugs were involved.

The singer isn’t entirely off the hook yet: She still faces four wrongful-death suits filed on behalf of Aboudihaj’s family and another victim of the crash. A trial date is set for January 28.

Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn are divorcing, their rep, Mara Buxbaum, confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

No other details were immediately available. The couple, who’ve been married 11 years, have two children together, Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 16.

Penn, 47, and Wright, 41, began dating in the early ’90s and married in 1996. They also have starred together in several films, including 1998’s Hurlyburly and 1997’s She’s So Lovely, directed by Nick Cassavetes.

“Marriage ain’t easy, but it’s great most of the time,” Penn told Entertainment Weekly in 1997. “I love Robin. I’ve always loved her.”

In the same article, Cassavetes was asked about working with the couple. “The beginning and the end of every day is how Sean and Robin are getting along,” he said. “If they have a bad morning, Sean’s broken up about it.”

Penn’s most recent film, Into the Wild, which he directed, is drawing awards buzz, with four SAG Award nominations and two Golden Globe nods.

Wedding bells will ring for Josh Duhamel and Fergie.

The actor’s rep confirms to E! News that Duhamel recently popped the question to the Black Eyed Peas singer.

So far, there’s no word on a wedding date.

Duhamel, 35, and Fergie, 32 (real name: Stacy Ferguson), have been an item since September 2004. They met when she made a guest appearance on Las Vegas.

The proposal comes after Fergie told Blender earlier this month that she was in no real rush to get engaged because she and Duhamel were “practically married, anyway.”

“I’m madly in love with him,” she said of her now fiancé. “He understands how to treat a woman and give me respect.”

Aside from planning her nuptials, Fergie is working on completing her second solo album, the follow-up to 2006’s The Dutchess.

She has also signed on to perform a remix of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” on the upcoming 25th-anniversary edition of Thriller.

Duhamel is currently in his fifth season on Las Vegas. Earlier this year, he starred opposite Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox in Transformers.

Barron Hilton announced on Wednesday that he was going to donate 97% of his 2.3 billion dollar nest egg to charity. He is donating it to the Conrad N. Hilton foundation which honors the founder, his father, of the hotel chain that started back in 1919.

I’m gonna have to say that it’s pretty dang obvious that grandpa is trying redeem the Hilton name here … and if I were him, you bet your ass I’d donate the money as well! Wouldn’t you?? Paris does NOT deserve that money. She would blow it on fake hair and clothes anyways!

Now, Barron did admit to being embarrassed by his socialite granddaughter, but deep down I really didn’t expect him to donate such a majority of his net worth. As the shock of Jamie Lynn Spears’ teen pregnancy dissipates, questions of responsibility and blame have landed on her mother and manager, Lynne.

“Jamie wanted something different for her life, and her mom put her in situations she didn’t want to be in,” Alexa Nikolas, Spears’ Zoey 101 costar, tells Us Weekly in its new issue, on newsstands now.

New reports are claiming that the Spears family is paying off Casey Aldridge to act like he’s the father so that the real dad, an old dude who is an exec on Zoey, won’t face statutory rape charges. Wow, that’s class! Star Magazine reports:

“Casey is being paid off to be the family’s fall guy while the real father remains unidentified. The man many suspect is the father, however, would face charges and probably prison time if he were to come forward and admit he had sex with her.”

These reports also claim that this old guy is taking advantage of Jamie Lynn. (Just like her Mommy and Daddy!) And that Casey Aldridge cheated on Jamie Lynn with some other chick and only told her about it cause the chick on the side had a pregnancy scare. Seriously, how do these people not live in a trailer and wear overalls? This is so hick.  So now this new story means there are three possible fathers to Jamie Lynn’s baby: Casey Aldridge, Lil’ Romeo, and Old Executive Guy. Awesome!
